One of the streets of Mbale, a town in the southeast at the base of Mt. Elgon. It's only a few miles from the Kenyan border.

Three of Mze's sons



Our hosts in the village.

Mze literally means "Sir;" it's an honorific attributed to his status as the oldest living male born into the clan. He looks frail, standing in the doorway with his canes, but he's as strong as an ox.
